Understanding CARF Consulting and its Role in Health
It is important to understand where all of the organizations fit in when you are talking about helping those with addiction, with health needs. CARF was founded back in 1966 and stands for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It is an international and nonprofit organization that will look at health and human services organizations, and give them accreditation or a variety of services.
The services could range from aging services, medical rehabilitation, youth services, behavioral services, and more. It can also have an involvement with addiction programs such as opioid treatment programs. The CARF consulting process is all about making sure accreditation is given when warranted. CARF consulting has led to over 27,000 locations with accredits and nearly 60,000 programs around the world.
